How this Generation depends on electronics and social media
Social media and electronics are very important to this generation. People spend hours and even stay up all night on social media sites. It's come to a point where people hide behind a phone or computer screen instead of going out and interacting with the real world. When people have a problem with someone or something, instead of
confronting the problem in person, they post about it or start arguments about the situation on their social media accounts or over the phone. It's pathetic how much people depend on electronic devices and social media. Now and days you have 8 and 9 Years olds with smart phones and all these different social media accounts. They're wasting their childhood worrying about how many likes they get or how many friends they have on a certain account instead of enjoying it and doing what children usually do at that age. Usually at family events people seclude them selves with some kind of electronic. People spend so much money on devices that's not even necessary to have. If you went into a modern home, you would most likely see an electronic device in almost every room of the house. Some people can't even sit and have a serious conversation with another person with out looking down at their phone. If there ever came a point of time where all electronics and social media went down I believe the world would be devastated and lost. Our Generation is so blinded by these devices to
where most of us haven't seen or experienced the true beauty of our world. It wouldn't hurt to give it all up for one day and do something outside of the electronic world. My school is having an upcoming event
where we are being challenged to not use technology for the whole day. I think it's a good idea because This event will prove a lot about our generation. I know it's going to be a very hard challenge
for most but it gives everyone a chance to see what life is like with out electronic devices. I honestly don't think a lot of people will accept this challenge, and if they do accept it not many will succeed. You shouldn't be overly dependent on an object or a be obsessed with a certain site. Some people just need a take a break from all technology and experience the real world without it.
