They Discover, They Create
“I know I’m supposed to hate humans, but there’s something about them. They don’t just survive. They discover, they create.” - Remy, Ratatouille
Since the beginning, we, as humans, have always had the innate need for exploration and control. We have scoured the world and always dreamt of taking the universe. There is a certain control that comes with being one’s own form of “creative”, and for one to want the most control over their creations, they need to be able to discover their own style of creativity. One must have total control, confidence, and must be fearless in order to create something great. True creations like art, writing, music, come from within one’s-self; they are original, inspiring, and admirable. They are something that cannot be done the same way twice. By simply surviving, one does not ever discover themselves or what they have to offer to themselves, and the world. They are simply a shell with so much untapped potential to create.
I want to further discover my inner self; find out who I am. I want to create myself as someone I would admire. I am my own companion until I die, so I want to be able to love myself. I would not want to be confined to someone until death that I did not even respect. For me to be happy and understand others, I need to accept myself in my entirety. Others may (and are invited to) help me to discover myself and love myself, but I cannot depend on them to find myself and create a life worth living. My future is my own, like I am my own to know.
