The topic of gun violence has become a norm. The government should consider having gun control. If the government does not consider having gun control there will be more guns and this will lead to more crime. If the government consider having gun control there would be less guns and this would lead to there being less crime. I think the government should control guns because there are people being killed by mentally unstable shooters, and background checks are too weak, also little kids are afraid of going to school.

Many people who are killed by guns innocently killed by mentally unstable persons. The government should take gun because there are people who are being killed being killed. Like when James Holmes entered the 16th Century Movie Theater in Aurora, Colorado and decided to start shooting. Holmes had shot people of all ages leaving 12 dead and many wounded in this shooting. Holmes had this whole movie theater shooting planned out. Holmes even took the time to booby-trap his whole apartment so that police would not be able to find evidence. Holmes purchased assault rifles and lots of round ammunitions to use at this horrific event. This is how innocent people were killed by mentally insane persons.

There are background checks that let anyone own any type of gun. The government should take control because there are people who are out if their minds. Persons should not have a gun because they could use it at wrong times without even thinking. Also, the government should take gun control over people who own too many guns. Persons with over two guns or more should be questioned because they do not need more than one gun. Finally, the government should take gun control over people who own assault rifles. People who own an assault rifles should be asked what intentions they have with the rifle. This is how our background checks will become stronger.

Many little kids live with the fear of someone coming into their school armed. The government should take gun control because little kids think fear after the shooting at sandy hook elementary school. Little kids think this same tragedy can happen at their school. Also, the government should have gun control on students who decide to bring guns to school because students fear they might get shot. Finally, the government should take gun control because lockdowns are making students feel unsafe and fear. Little innocent kids have to go through the whole school day thinking they might get shot.

Many of the people who are affected by shootings are mostly the innocent people. This is why I think the government should have gun control because there are people, who are mentally insane, and background checks are too weak, also there are little kids who are terrified of going to school. Student’s parents should not have to live with the fear of their kids coming back injured from school.
