“Eighty-four percent of black on black crime is happening in Indiana (Fathers' Manifesto).” Black on black crime needs to stop because it is increasing very rapidly, families are losing their children, and teens are getting killed by another African American teen. “Studies show that 11,106 African Americans are killed by another African American (politiFact Florida).” This is not good for families because a person dying in a family could destroy someone, and the way they live. “Forty-nine percent of deaths are blacks (politiFact Florida).” Police need to make a better effort of stop thinking and start doing. “8000 to 9000 African Americans are killed each year (politiFact Florida).” Not only are they dying but it’s by another African American. Even though that some people think that their kids are safe, they are really not unless they grow up in a good environment.

Teens are dying by another African American kid. Kids are getting involved with gangs, getting a hold of their parent’s guns, and taking kitchen knives to school. Kids are drinking and getting drunk then not knowing what they are doing. And might end up doing something they might not of thought of doing sober.

Families are losing their kids, getting involved with gangs, and the gangs are giving them guns to carry around. Kids are going around with their friends and claiming gangs. Which that could lead to even more violence, which could get them, killed. Kids are going around throwing up gang signs that they don’t even know about, they just saw their friends doing it so they thought it would be cool to do also. If other gang members where to see that I know that they would not hesitate to pull the trigger.

Although some might say that their child is a star student and that they would never see their child in a gang or anything like that. Parents just don’t understand what their child is doing while there out of the house. Their kid could be out on the street dealing drugs, or with a gang, they could even be robbing someone on the street.

Black on black crime needs to stop for numerous reasons. Families are losing their kids to so much violence. Most of that violence comes from other African American’s. Officers need to stop being all laid back a step up and end the violence. They need more police in gang related areas. Too many people are dying from gangs. Police need to get gang members off the street, and into a confined area.
