Frozen in time
We wait

For change to sweep us
Off our feet
And reverse
The spell

We wait
For time to tie
The mane of the
Wild stallion
Which is loosely
In our grasp

Frozen in time
We wait
As the ripple
Of change develops
In the water
In which we wade.

Ritsuk, a poem can be an opinion.

They dont always have to be seperate.

And i think this was really good.

WOW Place your poem is inspiring. Obaa should have read your poem. As ace1213 said your poem captures the hope that Americans have. this poem is a perfect example for what poets of your age group should be writing like. Fantastic job Place and congrats on being published on teen ink raw. Your are my idol and when you are published in the real magazine you will be the idol for other kids around the globe! You are a role model.

Wow! This poem connects the feelings I felt during the campaign and the inauguration. The author is able to explain the feeling of hope all Americans experienced and at the same time is able to convey the burden that rests on our new president's shoulders.
