Dreams keep people motivated and are a consistent reminder to stay focus. My ultimate dreams is to go to college, graduate, then be a nurse practitioner. After high school I would like to get accepted to a four year university, preferably CSU East Bay, or any UC. After I complete my general education, I want to complete a nursing program resulting in me being a nurse before I turn 25. Doing all this I would want to enjoy it an be happy in life. My dream is to attend college and complete a nursing program so I can obtain the proper education to get the job I want.

Nurses are teacher, advocates, caregivers, critical thinkers, and innovators. My dream is to be a nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who has additional responsibilities for administering patient care than RNs. NPs can prescribe medication, examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and provide treatment, much like physicians do. In most states, nurse practitioners they do not have to work under the supervision of a doctor but for the remaining they must have a medical doctor sign on certain patient care decisions.

There are many paths I can take to achieve my dream. But I don't want shortcuts, first thing I will do is go to college, complete nursing school to become a RN, keep my licenses in good condition, then enroll in and earn my Bachelors in Nursing Science degree.  After, I also have to enroll in an MSN program, earn my advanced practice nursing licensure in practical nursing. Exams and certifications requirements vary from state to state. Then I can began working, i will take this process slow and work as a RN, in my cities hospital in the meantime.

For me to get to my goal i will need help. I can do it by myself but support and guidance from teachers, my parents and counselors will make my journey easier. In class, i will be the best student so i can help myself into college and my counselors will guide me to that. Teachers will help me stay on track and communicate with me when i request it. My parents, like always, keep me motivated and supplied so i will have a boost throughout my days as a student working towards being a nurse.

In conclusion, being a nurse practitioner is my ultimate dream. Helping people one on one, and making a situation better is all I ask for. The medical field is a challenge but if I stay in school and talk to my counselors and teachers I can do it with the all around support my parents give me.
