Why you need to take a gap year, after high school?

Students need to take a gap year before going to college, since they can improve their grades and studying habits, for a better academic performance.
Moreover, they can prepare financially, because college fee is a vast investment, and these young adults need to organize their money to make it affordable and avoid at all costs, debts.
Therefore, I consider a gap year, as time to grow and to prepare better for college life.
