A Child at War
I watch my little brother play guns like it's nothing. Little does he know how serious it truely is. He pretends to be a soldier like it's just so easy. Through his eyes, it's fun, but through mine, it's scary. To see such youth already being corupted by war. We say "He's just being a boy" like we want to ignore it, but in all reality it opens our eyes to all the worlds problems. He doesn't what race is. To him and his 3 year old brain, black is just a color, not a label. How I wish his innocence could last forever. Sadly someday he will grow up, as we all do, and form his view of the world. He will no longer be shooting fake people with fake guns. No longer will black just be a color. All I hope is that he will be a voice of reason in a world of treason. Because it is the duty of youth to challenge corruption.

I was inspired to write this when my brother asked if it was okay to shoot people. I said no of course and just started thinking. This is the product of my thoughts.
