Society MAG
Straight or curly
painted or chipped
loose or tight
black or white
Ripped from the same cloth
and torn from the same past
make-up and smiles,
will always be a mask
We take the popular influence
right or wrong
and seek reassurance from everyone else
Television, Twitter,
contradicting posts about feminism
and racism
and everything inbetween
Does a truth even exist?
The keys tap on our laptops
and the coffee sits in our mugs
writing words that are supposed to mean something to somebody else.
Maybe if we all stopped trying to impress,
we could learn something about ourselves.
