With 10 seconds remaining and the score at 51–49, time is running out. As you line up the game-winning shot, the crowd goes wild.  Eventually, the nighttime buzzer sounds, and you realize that your school has won the chip. As you gather your belongings to go, you realize you have gained nothing. Colleges and universities have been cheating athletes out of their earnings for decades.

College sports have always been a huge part of the American sporting world . Millions of people are entertained and billions of dollars are made annually thanks to collegiate sporting events. To what extent should college athletes be compensated? the way it stated Media rights, ticket sales, branding, and direct program contributions all bring in billions of cash for universities every year. I read that “Revenue from NCAA member schools' sports programs was $18.9 billion in 2019.” The topic of whether or not collegiate athletes should be paid for their services remains a controversial and a big  debated aspect of a multibillion dollar industry. The moment has come to acknowledge the  worth of these players to their School  organizations and consider the arguments in favor of providing them with fair compensation. It is also a long past time that we recognize these individuals' undeniable commitment  to their sports.

They practice hard and sacrifice personal time and college experience for their teams in college. College student-athletes spend six hours a day on academics, 5.7 hours on sports, 3.3 on social life, and seven on sleep, according to the NCAA. Gabby Alfveby's quote was found. They typically have to pick between academics and other campus activities to meet these criteria, which puts them at a disadvantage compared to their non-athletic counterparts. College athletes may be rewarded, which will ensure their financial success in athletics and academics. This helps level the playing field.

The present system derives a significant amount of benefit from the successes and abilities of college athletes. College athletes are responsible for the generation of income in the form of ticket sales and retail sales and broadcast contracts, and sponsorships; the  system pulls a great amount of advantage from these factors. The fact that college athletes are responsible for the generating of this money could be credited as the cause of this advantage. Student athletes typically come out of their engagement in sports programs with little more than academic scholarships and the most fundamental of joys, but universities and organizations regularly make significant financial advantages as a result of the participation of student players in athletics programs. They use athletes for their own good and then give them nothing in return. This imbalance and unfair way  is inherently exploitative since it takes advantage of the talents of the players but does not provide them with a reward that is proportionate with the work that they put in.

We need to reassess how we value college  athletes and what they bring to the table. Paying college athletes is not only the proper thing to do, but it also creates a more equitable system. These players have been cheated out of their hard-earned money by the NCAA for many years, receiving nothing in return. On the field, these athletes give it their all. inspiring pride in their schools and delighting spectators around the country. By rewarding college players appropriately, we recognize their hard work and efforts, guaranteeing they will get the help they need and fostering a more healthy and sustainable college sports environment.

I am a student athlete that devotes a lot of time and effort to a sport for a school, and I want to get some type of compensation in college for myself and other athletes.
