This fine canine has every right to stare like a Lord. This is Razbery, English terrier and entrant in the 135th annual dog show of the Westminster Kennel Club, New York City. It is literally the apex of dog breeding talent worldwide.
Now, to business.
Drawing time: Roughly 6-7 hours. I spent the night doing it so I've lost track.
Medium: HB, 2B, 5B and 6B graphite pencils, cotton buds, Q-tips, plain vinyl eraser.
Drawn on A4 Plain sketching paper.

Oh, thank you. You're more observant than I am - it's a setter, all right. It featured prominently on NatGeo's February 2012 cover article. The key to drawing animals, I found, was to pick one with longer hair and hope for the best. Just like skin, short hair can be outright pain to draw while long locks come in nice, easy sweeps. Good luck!
Gorgeous dog, but he looks more like a setter or a spaniel than a terrier! Perhaps you meant an English Setter? I am not an expert on dog breeds, but I looked up pictures (the dog looks to be one) and the name mix-up would make sense. He's very realistic! I wish I could do eyes and fur that well with charcoals! I'm working on a beagle and a bulldog now, so I'm realizing that it's not easy! Keep up the good work!
