Crimson Fairytale
This is an illustration of a fairytale I wrote. The black-haired guy is Sorrel, a wizard, the wolf is his brother who got enchanted by an evil witch, the little kid is Waku - Sorrel's apprentice - and he basically watches the Wolf. The girl is Marie, who has a magic crystal that can do magic stuff and the scarecrow is the magical godfather who can make the wolf turn back into his human form for three hours on special occasions. (See Crimson Fairytale 2 for a clearer shot.)
