Too late to say I love you
I wanted to say I loved you,
I wanted to hold you forever.
I wanted to kiss your sweet, sweet lips,
And whisper sweet nothings in your ears.
But now I’ve waited far too long,
And now I’ve lost my chance.
Instead of finding happiness in seeing you,
I find only sorrow for what might have been.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
And cry for I’ve lost the one most dear.
I wish upon the brightest star,
That you might one day hold me near.
But for now, I say unto you,
My dearest boy,
I love you.
