sleep ?
sleep is for the weak.
It’s a funny joke
until the joke isn’t funny anymore.
and the joke turns into reality
when you’re fighting your eyelids to scared to unveil the haunted nightmare that awaits
so you avoid sleep
when you know you need it
you’re just too scared to go and take it
so you don’t
instead you lay restless from your brain scrambling as your computer screen keeps you from ending
everything
although all the thoughts still try and cram their way out
you continue and do your best by blocking the thoughts out with a episode of friends
the fright of falling asleep
seeing you dancing in my dreams once again
as my drowsy eyes slowly beg to be put to rest
i pray to anything to stop the madness
i guess my prayers are never heard
how could you ask for a prayer to come true when you’re praying to someone who isn’t eve there ?
who hasn’t been here for years.
