In the Landscape of life
In the beautiful landscape of life, I am the butterfly.
The sun shines; I flutter in the gorgeous sky.
As a butterfly, tightly wrapped in a silk cocoon,
I came from the little space of my mother’s womb.
I enter the world; small, precious and fragile.
Free to grow, to mature, to live for a while.
Floating by, flapping its wings,
Looking around, as the wind sings.
Life is a mystery, the future unknown.
The past forgotten, the present shown.
Two choices in life, for the butterfly and I
Sit and watch, or learn to fly.
