Ode to Nightfall
The sun has hidden behind the horizon
Hues of pink and orange look too faint on the navy skies
Gone was the setting sun that burned crimson
That brought joy to my eyes
Oh, the day has flown so fast
Like it suddenly fell off a curve
Rendering me downcast
And taking half of my verve
I would love to go back, please
But there are really times meant to be sad
Fine, I won't wish to go back
Because the sky has now turned black
Nightfall is a beauty stored
For those who want to be ignored.
