Time's prisoner
It heals and breaks
We are Greedy for more than were given
We waste it
We insult it
We take advantage of it
Begging for its mercy, pleading for more
But it always has a limit, the clock always stops
The seconds,
The minutes,
The hours
Ticking away till there’s nothing left
In the blink of an eye
Everything you’ve ever known swept away,
Into the dust of eternity.
Our families
Our friends
Our lives
Our purpose
Gone,
Our whole world at his dispense.
You’re Life in his hands,
His decisions mark your grave
We live and we die,
It makes every second irreplaceable
Its fate,
Its destiny,
Its life.
