Last Spring Shower
Inside each pure and gentle drop
A note resides, beating softly
And when it bursts against the ground
A melody flows all around
It soaks into the dark rich earth
And drapes itself across the air
Each bead falls like stars from the sky
With beauty that the clouds belie
Glazing my skin like liquid glass
The rain gives life to all things there
And trickles down each em’rald leaf
In stunning moments though they’re brief
