As the town hears the melody

As the town hears the melody
of the calling of sleep
the sun loses its grip
and sinks away
watching as the sea takes over the sky
with one last breath
the light goes out
and the crow closes its beak
where the only lights
comes from a distance away
where the mountains try to reach
with its long nails
standing on its tip toes
waiting for one more stretch
to reach where the angels go
