Stuck On Your Shelf
Here i am,
Yes, up here.
Can you see me?
well, I can see you.
Why have you forgotten,
To take me off your shelf?
I came to you because,
Of these feelings felt inside.
They came from my heart.
You know, the thing you stole from me?
I think you had me at hello,
Though the reason seems vague.
But just that one passing glance,
Sent an arrow through my chest.
Why have you forgotten,
To take me off your shelf?
I followed you around,
And watched you from afar.
My courage had not built enough,
To go and talk to you.
So now I stand outside your window,
With the rain coming down.
I'm getting soaked to the bone.
Oh, why can't I speak?
Why have you forgotten,
To take me off your shelf?
Finally the day had come,
When the feelings coursed like the sea,
That I wanted to try to talk,
With the girl who'd captured me.
But when i turned the corner,
I saw Him...with his arms around her waist,
And her arms about his neck as they both,
Came together and kissed....
Why have you forgotten,
To take me off your shelf?
To this very day,
The shock is still there.
I come to believe that I,
Had lost an angel in the crowd.
Still I am stuck on your shelf,
Waiting for you to remember...
