A Letter
Dear whomever it may concern,
You’re trying hard
But it’s never enough
You feel so weak
But I know you’re tough
You just want to quit
Leave the world behind
But I know who you are
Very loved and oh so kind
I’ve seen it for myself
Your every strife
You’re always so tired
And live a damaged life
Those horrible nights
When your grandmothers died
I know how broken you were
And all the pain you felt inside
You’ve lost so much
Pets, family, and more
You hid your sufferings
Behind a locked door
I’m here to help you
To come into the light
I know you can do it
I faced the same fight
Siblings like yours
Who taunted each day
They always won fights
With the hate they would say
I had parents like yours
Never truly in love
Angry father, broken mother
Each thinking they’re above
I loved someone too
Who didn’t feel it back
I was broken and hurt
But found a new track
I know you can listen
Just not very well
But take a moment now
And hear what I tell
Stand up on your feet
Lift up your weary head
You’ll be glad to hear
There’s a better road to tread
The people you lost
Are no longer in pain
They’re much better now
Free from every chain
Your siblings will tease
It’s just what they do
They will get kinder
And then so will you
Your parents will find love
It’ll take them some time
Your father will be first
Then your mother down the line
Your broken heart
Will eventually heal
Not all the way
But enough for you to deal
You lost someone you knew
Not much, but still a friend
It’ll break you for some time
But you’ll be okay in the end
Now my final remarks
Before I must go
Are very important
And what you should know
You are so strong
So beautiful and kind
Open your eyes
Open your mind
If you want proof
That all I’ve said is true
Then here it is:
Sincerely, You
