The Idea of Rain
The taste of rain
Carried on a breeze
Brings with it all
A sense of ease
The smell of rain
Before and as it falls
Is of earth and life
That seeps through walls
The sight of rain
Can be one of fear
Or it can be a blessing
To see drops so clear
The sound of rain
Battering the ground
Is a lovely and soft
Yet terrifying sound
The feel of rain
As it hits your skin
Is a graceful thing
That rids of sin
The idea of rain
Falling from grey gates
Is that it can easily destroy
The very life it creates
