Space of the Dragon
For many years I protected this place,
Until many wicked knights showed their face,
With my heart reluctant as I blast fire,
Their flesh so smoked and burned it’s quite dire,
How sad the treasure they desire is replaced,
Proudly I have guarded this House of Dust,
When the owners perished I had their trust,
To guard this house like a lioness with her cubs,
Warningly, I swoop through villages to crisp shrubs,
Feebly attempting to ward off the unjust,
Yet how can these warriors understand my case?
The treasure they have so carefully traced,
It does not lie within these stone walls,
For me? I defend because this is my space.
