The House I Hate
I hate this house
Down East Santa Fe
It’s a personal Hell
That burns me each day
I hate this house
On the far side of town
It used to raise my spirits
But now slays them down
I hate this house
And all of its holes
Made from large fists
Bloodily beating our souls
I hate this house
And the people inside
They don’t care that I'm breaking
That I’ve already died
I hate this house
That is now my bane
I always leave broken
And wearing new pain
I hate this house
Yet I will never tell
The people I know
About this home I call Hell
I won’t ever tell them
About my missing mother
They don’t see her absence
My sisters and brothers
I won’t ever tell them
How my siblings are callous
The brothers leave blisters
The sisters full of malice
I won’t ever speak
Of the harm I endure
It’s all in my mind
And I can’t find a cure
I won’t ever say
That they’re my escape
These people I know
Slowly healing each scrape
No one will ever know
Of the hellish house I hate
Down East Santa Fe
That took control of my fate
