This is a Letter to My Stubborn Brain: Make Up Your Mind
My brain constantly indecisive
Which makes me feel bipolar
When can I be sure about things soon?
Maybe when I am older
A constant theme like day and night
My thoughts change from then
As I overthink things that are simple
When stuck making a choice
Unfair how it was easy before
No question was wondered
Like who I strive to be in life
Or what I really wanted
The pre-woven times of yesterday
Felt nearer than a blip
But now my brain is most complex
And stubborn with its choices
I’m running out of time again
Please let me get some help
I should make right decisions so
Can you make up your mind?

I wanted to write about my thoughts and feelings and what my brain/conscience made me feel. I have a hard time making decisions considering the fact that I can’t go back from what I choose and I could be walking on a broken step going one way, and it makes me uncomfortable and stressed. I “wrote” a letter to my brain to just “make up its mind” and ask for help when I really need it because I don’t always prioritize. I wrote in lyric form because it helps me compare my thoughts. It’s a very clean way of writing about things that can seem confusing.
