The Human Mind
It’s broader than Earth’s range
And deeper than the sea
And much farther out the galaxy
Yet it’s so limited and slight
Except what it beholds
It builds walls and the highest peaks
And carries capacity beyond our world,
Essentially unlimited
It sustains lives and creates it too
It soaks and drains like a sponge
So much time spent using it
Yet it’s not ultimately understood
There's too much to think about
So powerful, yet so fragile
The most complex matter
Yet no two are the same
It dictates the world, our actions
So much to describe, to explain
In spite of the fact that there's still more undiscovered,
Undiscovered of what it’s capable of

The human mind is phenomenally insane to think about. And there is so much more that we don’t already know about the dense noodle we all carry around with us for a lifetime. My inspiration came from my urge to get it out there that the brain is one of our most prized possessions and there’s still so much we don’t know we can do with it. It truly is amazing and inspiring. I chose to write it in Ode form because my topic is too detailed to confine it into simple words to fit a meter.
