Now, he may have asked little Cindy-Lou who

She and Alfie went up the peak to ask the green santy-claus what to do.

They needed some measurements so the who’s could dress like the grinch!

They asked “Santy-Claus could we ask …”

But before they could ask they heard a howl and before they gasped.

“You two think you can come up  here” the grinch said

“They would not come here in years, not even if they had a missing ear” he said.

“But you two, what do you want?” their santy claus said.

“We only wanted measurements for your whiskers”they said

“But why would you...” he muttered

“No, not again, it’s the time of the year”

“The one to disgust”

“It is halloween, the time with a lot of dust apparently!” he said

“Leaves fall, dust flies it’s even worse than when your taco is dries, or even when your ballon flies”

“For you guys it’s when your friend lies”

“Why don’t you like it”the who’s asked

“Why is there disgust in the air, you so desperately want to smell?” they quietly asked.

“Now you came for measurements did you not, come inside it’s nice and hot”

“Wait right here, I will be right back, ruining your night will bring me quite a laugh” said the grinch

So he did, he left the peak and headed to the dreaded

A place he so desperately hated

“They must think that I’m a child” he said

“No one will know because of my smile” he said

“Maybe, no, maybe, yes, I have an Idea that is the very best ”

So he went to the store, the store near the shore

As he walked inside he was ignored

“He took out his wallet and asked if he could, sneak a peak and buy all he should”

“The clerk said, sure you could, all you need is a basket for all those goods”

The grinch smiled and walked a mile.

As he walked back he looked behind and saw that the village was happy with delight

“Soon they will be shocked as I, the grinch, will leave the candy behind”

“Oh, did I say, leave it behind, I meant it will be in that old mine”

This set piece uses a lot of rhyming, and personally I love rhyming.
