Nothing goes quicker than life flying by

Anything to be youthful again makes a fair fight;

To its speed, individuals turn a blind eye.

Everything starts with a simple lullaby,

Nearly nothing could make one petrified;

Nothing goes quicker than life flying by.

A mind turns into a place only facts occupy,

Obsessing over the numbers that pass by;

To its speed, individuals turn a blind eye.

Obligations appear to rapidly duplicate,

Wishing time would repudiate;

Nothing goes quicker than life flying by.

The loss of one's youth is burdensome to deny,

Soon, the fire inside starts to shy;

To its speed, individuals turn a blind eye.

Alas, the end yields a gloomy goodbye,

All too early, death strikes with a shard cry;

Nothing goes quicker than life flying by,

To its speed, individuals turn a blind eye.
