A Fantasy Setting
I live within a Fantasy
A world within my mind
The colors are an ecstasy
So bright they leave me blind
The mythical creatures pass me by
So close that I could touch them
Up in the clouds the dragons fly,
sparkling like a bright gem
I wish that I could be up there
So light, floaty, and free
But the earth just does not care
And keeps ahold of me
A unicorn runs past me with
it's horn a gleaming white
I'm happy that within this myth
I never see the night
I stretch to run to join with him
That unicorn so quick
Straining every single limb
Watching his feet kick
But once again my feet are bound
Shackled down to this earth
Pulling, straining 'gainst the ground
I Pull for all I'm worth
At last, I give in no more strength
The ground begins to shake
A crevice opens just my length
From this mini earthquake
I fall into the underground
The roof above is closing
All around there is no sound
And darkness is imposing
I heard a sound, I this young boy
Some breathing deep and labored
Worried that I'm just a toy
For whom I'd just been neighbored

I was bored and decided to do some rhyming practice.
