How long?
Will you sit there
waiting as the world
passes you by.
How long?
Will you continue to let
her ignore you
for weeks on end.
while you sit.
as the world passes you by
How long?
Will you stare from afar,
wondering what she's thinking
avoiding words
with a cell phone
while the world continued to
pass you by.
And when you finally
get up the nerve.
its too late.
a stolen kiss,
a broken heart,
one last text message.
Love fades.
But not for you.
