Shadow in the House
November 5, 2022
In bed, alone at 2:43 AM, there is a shadow in the house. Wonder what it could be. But who knows? It could be an intruder, a squatter, or an animal, but who knows? Creeping down stairs, it sounds like a kid is crying and it stops. Walking, opening each and every door. Checking each and every room. Rain starts to pour, the storm drain is overflowing. The bathroom door opens slowly, the shadow appears. I'm the shadow.
