People say
"why whould anyone do that?"
"what could be that bad?"
"who would be that stupid?"
"noone could be that sad!"

But there is so much they don't understand,
to cut isnt always to kill
just a way to realease the pain,
that resides within.

to cut is not some twisted thrill
not just some twisted
way to pass the time
so I'll explain it all to you...
by allowing you entrance
into a cutter's mind.

losing control
the pain
the anger...
trying to contain it
about to let loose

it's coming she can feel it
the edge it touches skin
why? she wants to know
why can't she ever win

she doesnt think about the pain...
or how the slightest slip of the hand
could put an end to her life
she doesnt think about the future
or any of the good times
nor does she think about the scars
that shall be left behind

the marks have been made
each one represents her pain

so she cries herself asleep
broken-hearted upon her bed
she'll wake up in the morning
to find the marks blood red.

She'll wear long sleeves
to hide her cuts.
From family and from friends
Because she tells herself
inside her head
she'll never let herslef
lose control again...
the only thing she doesn't realize
is that cutting is her drug
and she has a bad addiction.
