There is something unspoken about the silence
that falls upon the harbor at nightfall.
When the scorching heat of sunlight becomes
a soft glow of the moon accompanied by a cool breeze.
The aura surrounding the isolated shack is peaceful–
untouched by the distant buzz of automobiles
and ceaseless urbanization of neighboring suburbs.
The harbor bathes in a beautiful glow
fading as the night wears on.
The world sleeps soundly
until the first glimpse of tomorrow.
