She's (Not) Here
Won’t you come along?
She asked and I knew
Like drops of rain, fresh and new,
Bound to reach the seas
Like flakes of snow,
In the winter freeze,
Yes, I knew,
Her real presence
That was not true.
Yet she felt like the winds
Breezing slowly
Over the lakes.
A pleasant feeling
Imparts the hope
Of meeting her
Without tears
Without fears
A small desire
I’ve obsessed over
Ever since I could feel
Her heart
that was truly serene
Life isn’t fair
For robbing me
Of her presence.
All dreams and hopes
Lie in despair,
As the winds remind me
That she’s (not) here.
