A Thousand Wars, All Over Again
The king of darkness
Rides in force
Blinded by the hunger
For desire and power
The queen of light
Raises her bow
And the arrow
Of hope with might
The soldiers march
With boiling blood
On thunderous horses
Through the grass and mud
Swords are drawn
In the stance of war
Craving to slaughter
Their own brothers
Wielders of maces
And hammers and axes
Roar and thunder
At the sky to conquer
The tyrants and lords
Impart the fury
And anger and the duty
To drive the war
The battleground sighs
Once again in pain
Witnessing a thousand wars
All over again
But the sky contrasts
And looks serene
And seems to know that
The pain of war
Can never exceed
The woe of the aftermath
