Irony MAG

By Anonymous

The shards of glass littered the cold, black asphalt
like sparkling stars strewn across the night sky.

Their brilliance catching the corner of my eye,
making me slow down, just to look at them a little longer.

In my awe of the sheer beauty of merely broken glass,
I couldn't help but think

How someone else's tragedy
could be so beautiful to me.

A very good idea, and wonderfully expressed.

I love this! I love the whole idea of it. I feel like you capture a piece of human nature. Often times we find interesting or beautiful what could have hurt others. Much like the way we are drawn to crime shows, the news, or the way kids are drawn to someone who get hurt so that they can see what's under the band-aid. Great work. You got your point across very poetically and I loved it!

We wouldn't ask a rose that grew from the concrete for having damaged petals; in turn we'd all celebrate its tenacity, we'd all love tz will to reach the sun well we are the roses n these are my damaged petals don't ask me why thank God and ask me how
