What is love? What does it mean?

When you say, "I love you,"

Is it like a dream?

Based upon some truth,

Yet not actually real?

How does love make you feel?

Is love similar to winning a game?

Worth all the effort, and all the pain?

Or is love just another "cliche?"

Overused, meaning lost, out of date?

Is "love" still worth it? Is it all that great?

No one has an answer, it seems

To what love really is

When you say "I love you," what do you really mean?

Does it mean you care?

Or just a token phrase?

Will your love last, until the End of Days?

Will you still love me, when I'm old and grey?

When you said, "I love you,"

I never thought that would go away

The real meaning of love, is sticking through the pains

Never giving up, even when it hurts to stay
