September
September; a time of
Wind and fall, leaves, trees,
Greens, and all
September; a time to remember,
Pain, loss, and anger
Growing like embers
September; a time to recall
The greatest gift of all: Life,
All are important,
No matter how small
September; a time of grief,
Sorrow growing into anger,
Turning green, yellow, orange, red
Like the leaf
September; a time of sadness,
To those who know,
And of change, to those who don’t
September; a time to grow,
To change, move on,
And to let go
September; if only you knew,
The pains I’ve gone through

Originally a part of the "September Collection" ("September, "Red," "Choices," "The Pen," "The Page," "Death," "What If?"), this poem describes the month of September, which starts the Autumn season. Personally, I have many emotional ties to September, as I was born during it, and have endured a lot of trauma, and loss that have occurred during this month.
