Chains
Chained to you in trust.
You’re really not that bad, I thought.
Chained to you in trust.
The chains are red hot,
The chains are tight.
Chained to you in trust.
I found the key in my own hands,
Should I unlock these chains?
Or stay chained in trust?
They mock me.
The chains mock me.
Why don’t you trust?
Why do you fear?
Why do you overthink?
Stay chained!
With shaky hands I take the key.
The chains drop to the ground.
They scream and yell as they die.
My wrists are scarred but I am free.
