Life
Life: the beginning
If taken for granted,
Will leave your head spinning
What started with Death, has now come to an end
As Christ on the Third Day, I shall rise again
A modern-day Lazarus, “back from the dead”
In this case, not literally, but figuratively instead
Nomadic in my ways, as I come and go
In the end, where I’ll stay, I really don’t know
In between dreams and reality, my balance is fragile
Drawn to one side; I must remain agile
I’m not very sure where I currently lie
Do I wake up when I close my eyes?
Is my life an illusion, merely a dream-state?
Are the nightmares really what life is like when I’m awake?
Nothing, it appears, is as it seems
I’d rather stay here, forever in my dreams
Content, at peace, finally at ease
“Darling,” she calls, “I need you here, please”
