My name means crooked nose, a meaning I am embarrassed by after learning it, but my real name is Cameron or Cam as I let everyone call me. The reason why I did this was because it’s easier, and I like it more. As the years went on I went through a point where I didn’t like my name, hated it even. Why I hated my name for a bit was confusing it was because it was made fun of for the meaning of the name. But as I came out of that time I grew to be okay with it.

Where I think this hatred stemmed from how I’d always get in trouble as a kid and hear my full name, or I think that’s part of it. Another part could just be how long it was and how much of a hassle it was for the other person to say “Cameron.”. Instead, they can just say “Cam” easily, and I know they are referring to me, So that’s also part of the reason.

When I think about Cameron meaning crooked nose, I think about a clown, a clown relates to me in a good way. I’m a goofy person‒just overall silly. I like making jokes and making people laugh and happy. These jokes usually come at times when it feels appropriate to make a joke about the current situation like we’re playing a game and I’ll make a joke. Crooked nose could mean a misunderstood person who looks strange but has a very kind and caring personality who just wants to do what is right, and that represents me fully.
