Bob Marley movie
I got introduced to Bob Marley: One Love by seeing ads online and hearing about it from friends. I was told the movie was unreal—an amazing, well written movie. But I’m not sure why I listened to the opinions of people that didn't even watch the movie.
The point of the movie was to explain Bob Marley's life and just show everything he went through to get his fame and how he grew up. The actor Kingsley Ben-Adir did a great job looking and acting like Bob Marly, but just could have worked on articulating each line more clearly, as they were hard to understand. . Everyone else in the movie did fine acting especially Lashana Lynch and Anthony Welsh it was just a consistency of being hard to understand.
Overall, though, The Bob Marly movie was confusing. The cutscenes in the movie were bad and no thought went into them at all. In one scene Bob gets shot and 5 seconds later he was on stage jumping around with no problem. The accents on the actors made it almost impossible to understand what they were saying and made it very confusing for the audience.
The movie was a solid two hours long, but they managed to make it feel like three. It would get you excited by making you think it was the end of the movie and it was finally time to leave—until they would hit you with an additional 40 more minutes. There were so many unnecessary things in the movie that didn't need to be added like three cutscenes at random places in the movie where some random dude is on a horse with a fire behind him. I was engaged for a solid 15 minutes of the movie and just couldn't get back in. When you're focusing on trying to focus you should know that it's bad.
I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to watch this movie. The amount of boredom going through my body was unreal. You couldn't pay me to sit down and watch the Bob Marly movie ever again. I would recommend this movie to people wanting to experience a new level of boredom and want to bring the worst out of them.
