The Icecream Not Taken

Two flavors lie in a ice cream stand,

And sorry I could not have them both

And be one hungry kid, I demand

And tasted one kind as much as I could

To where it melts in my mouth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better flavor,

Because it was more rich and wanted wear;

Though as for that, the people there

Had tried them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In taste no one would ever dream.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how icecream leads to icecream ,

I doubted if I should ever think about it.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere with sweet icecream:

Two flavors lied in a shop, and I

I took the one more flavorful,

And that has made the better icecream.

This poem talks about how the choice that we make can have an impact on our future, but if we make a wrong choice and regret it, we cant go back and change it.
