My Love for Me

Never, till today, did I yet find
Something lost that was truly mine
Though i never saught, it was always there
But far from self-hate, doubt, and despair
I scaled mountains
Swam in fountains
Calculated infinity
Lost virginity
Pioneered frontiers of the soul
But still inside there remained a hole
What I desired in others resides in myself
Secret and true, yet without a doubt
There it lies inside my heart
My love for me, a work of art
Painful to create, from which harder to part
