Guitar God
I call him my “guitar god”
I mean, I’ve never actually met him
but he probably is one
I sit up front and watch him play
I know it sounds cliché
But it always blows me away
He tilts his head to look at the clouds
Just strumming, strumming away
Breathing into the night air
I wouldn’t call this a crush
but when I look up at him
I just can’t help but smile
When I see him, I must look like a dork
Gazing at him with a toothy grin
It even makes me smile now
Maybe someday I’ll actually talk to him
and get to know him
maybe someday I’ll even know his name
But for now, he’s my guitar god
and I’m the girl in his crowd
forever and always
