All You Need is Time
She saw me crying
She came in, kissed my cheek and said:
“Honey, tomorrow is another day,
soon your pain will slowly fade away,
so erase all those failing thoughts within,
Time, all you need is time.”
Now these words aren't the most comforting ones
but at heart I know they're truth
Because if she had told me everything was going to be alright
She would know for sure
and It wouldn't cure this hurt
But I'll walk with you, I'll take your hand
You have experience because you've been like this before:
Broken inside, just wanting to hide
Only existing, not really living anymore
No comforting souls could make me strong
Of the lyrics I write, all are saddening songs
And all unspoken words remain unspoken
As my innermost thoughts remain unopened
But then I'll remember what she said and I'll be just fine:
“Time, all you need is time.”
"All you need is time to no longer feel the effects, they will subside
Time, all you need is Time."
