Super Hero MAG
Super Hero
Redswimming trunks
pulled over light blue footseypajamas
Pentagonal "S" on an ice cream stained shirt
andMom's red Christmas tablecloth
tied whimsically around hisneck,
sweeping across his squared shoulders,
flapping inthe artificial breeze
of an electric fan at hisfeet.
His determined stance
creates the illusion of a"tall building" bounder
It took him all summer
tocollect the apparel for his secret identity.
The small,Matchbox-infested bedroom transforms,
now a distantplanet
- Krypton perhaps
Its master, only four feettall
plummets though the hallway universe
with thepredisposition of a bullet
and lands with a huff on theliving room carpet.
Utilizing his x-ray vision,
beckons,"Save me some cookies, Mom!"
as he leaps atop the coffeetable.
And with a flex of his mighty biceps,
milk bellypuffed intimidatingly,
roars in the face of Danger,
(hiscat)
and is off to save the world!
"Look ... up in theair ...
Is it a bird?
Is it a plane?"
No!
It's adreamer ...
a believer ...
a child ...
