Passing
The rain no longer falls like quiet tears
It pours onto my skin now
Waiting for me to except this passing.
I’m getting wet.
And the cascading of water has not yet ceased.
My hair absorbs the rain,
Only to drip down my chest.
I wrote a reminder on my arm in pen,
Reminding me to remember…
Nothing.
There is nothing left.
It has been washed away
I’m getting cold.
And the leaves are only blowing harder.
I stand motionless,
Surrounded by the stirring wind.
The rain no longer falls like quiet tears
It pours onto my skin now
Waiting for me to except this passing.
