Found you in the library again today,
Found you lost yesterday.
Couldn't find a friend an hour ago,
But here there are books,
There is me.
Found a novel for you to read,
Found you a classic to enjoy.
Said you didn't know what to do,
But here there are books,
There is me.
Found you laughing at a cover,
Found you smiling at me.
Wandered the city with empty expectations,
But here there are books,
There is me.
Found her hiding here in a corner,
Found her kept with her lines and posture.
Gathered the courage to talk to her,
Here there are books,
There is me.
