Burning
I think of you,
when i'm at a fire.
The smoke constantly running past my face,
reminding me your always there.
It bothers me as i want to move away from it,
but it follows me wherever i go;
just like you, in my mind.
It is bittersweet.
The brilliant smell of the fire, combined with the hot ashes and coughing.
The fire keeps burning,
like you do in my heart.
But like all fires the burning has to stop
as my heart turns from a blazing fire to hot coals. You become lost in the ashes,
the ashes that are life.
The coals are now cold,
and will be until they are lit up again.
